Meet the Photographer
I'm Deidra Dixie Snider
I believe photographs are little pieces of time we get to keep.
Behind every soft glance, every sweet smile, and every thoughtful pause is a story to be told through a captured photograph.
I'm drawn to old cameras, dramatic skies, vintage textures, and the quiet moments between the posed ones.
My goal isn't to make you look like someone else. It's to help you see the beauty everyone else already sees in you.
Long before I ever picked up a camera, I was an artist at heart. I was the person noticing the way golden light filtered through the trees, the texture of something old and forgotten, the emotion hidden in a simple moment. I’ve always believed there is beauty in the imperfect; the messy, the real, the wonderfully human.
Photography became my way of preserving those moments. Not just what something looked like, but what it felt like. The laughter you couldn’t recreate, the confidence you didn’t know you had, the connection you never want to forget.
My style is inspired by nature, nostalgia, and storytelling — rich earthy tones, cinematic landscapes, soft emotion, and a little bit of whimsy. Whether we’re standing beneath the mountains of Lake Tahoe, chasing sunset light, or creating something completely imagined, my hope is that your images feel like stepping into a memory.
Because someday these photographs won’t just show what you looked like.
They’ll remind you who you were, who you loved, and the story you lived.
Beauty that becomes my muse...
I don't always photograph people. In fact, I actually love to photograph anything that can captivate my attention. I love the details that make something so special and beautiful; that element that gives somethings its character. Whether that be foliage, bugs, architecture, animals or landscapes. It's the details that make the memory...
Below are some of my favorite people-free images that I have captured that bring me a sense of happiness and peace.
